By Air
The nearest public airport is at Ranchi which is 250 km away from Rourkela though Rourkela has its own Airstrip, generally used by the dignitaries of SAIL. So, if someone comes by Air then he/she can only reach Rourkela by Taxi, Bus or Train service.
By Rail
Rourkela is on the Mumbai-Howrah main railway line. Well connected to most part of the country it takes around 7 hrs from Bhubaneswar. Also one can reach here from Kolkata by direct train services.
By Road
There are many luxury Bus Services to Rourkela from the state capital, Bhubaneswar. Usually it takes one night journey & all most all the buses run at night.
